Day 1: Critchley Hackle Lodge, Dullstroom, South Africa

On day one of your South Africa self drive, you pick up your rental car for your 3 hour drive to the charming and quaint town of Dullstroom en route to the Kruger Park, where you check in at Critchley Hackle Lodge. You spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure, exploring the town, home to many interesting shops and excellent restaurants.

Overnight is at Critchley Hackle Lodge on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2: Kapama River Lodge, Kapama Private Game Reserve, South Africa

Today you depart Dullstroom after breakfast for the 3 hour drive to the world renowned Kruger National Park, where you will be staying at one of the private game reserves for a South Africa safari. Check into Kapama River Lodge where you enjoy some refreshments before setting off on your first afternoon/evening game drive through the heart of the wild African bush.

Overnight is at Kapama River Lodge, fully inclusive of accommodation, 3 meals daily, and morning and afternoon/evening game drives.

Days 3 & 4: Kapama River Lodge

You spend a further 2 days on a South Africa safari, enjoying early morning and late afternoon game drives, with time in between to relax and enjoy your tranquil surroundings. The lodge offers fantastic spa treatments if you wish to indulge and spoil yourself a little. Overnight is at Kapama River Lodge, fully inclusive of accommodation, meals daily and morning and afternoon/evening game drives.A private game reserve experience is indeed a defining moment in anybody's life. While staying at Kapama River Lodge guests can enjoy world class luxury, undisturbed bush views and complete tranquility, surrounded by glorious gifts of Mother Nature.

Day 5: Hippo Hollow Hotel, Mpumalanga, South Africa

Say goodbye to Kapama Game Reserve after your final morning game drive and hearty breakfast. You can drive through the Blyde River Canyon area to Hazyview, where you check into the Hippo Hollow Hotel. Overnight is at Hippo Hollow Hotel.

Day 6: Panorama Route

After breakfast head to an Elephant sanctuary where you will have the opportunity to ride and interact with these majestic Elephants. The rest of the South Africa safari is at leisure, exploring the Panorama route at your own pace, visiting Bourke's Luck Potholes, God's Window, Mac Mac Falls, the historic town of Pilgrims Rest and maybe sampling the best pancakes in South Africa in Graskop. Overnight is at Hippo Hollow Hotel.

Situated just outside Hazyview on the Sabi River, Hippo Hollow is the ideal base from which to discover the many sights and sounds of Mpumalanga and the Lowveld.

Day 7: Depart

Today you check out of Hippo Hollow after breakfast and drive back to Johannesburg where you drop off your rental car at the airport and prepare for your flight home.
